New release of TimeXtender Classic
TimeXtender has announced that a new, larger release of the SQL-Only targeted version 20.10.xx - version 25.2.xx. This new version will be released in February 2025.
What does this mean to you?
If you are currently using version 20.10.xx, we recommend that you by February 2027 switch to one of these two solutions:
TimeXtender Classic (25.2.xx)
The trusted solution for SQL-based environments:
- Optimized for SQL Server (on-premises) or Azure SQL
- New TimeXtender connectors
- Self-hosted repository
TimeXtender Data Integration
The future-proof data solution with support for:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure
- Snowflake
- Amazon RDS
- On-premise SQL Server
- Fully managed and continuously optimized repository by TimeXtender
Note: After February 2027, version 20.10.xx will no longer be supported by TimeXtender.
What does TimeXtender Classic offer?
The new TimeXtender Classic version will continue to be fully supported by TimeXtender in the future and will also get new features. Some of these features are already available now in TimeXtender Data Integration and thus will also be added to TimeXtender Classic.
If you are switching to TimeXtender Classic, keep in mind some important changes:
- No ODX Server support: TimeXtender Classic uses an ODX in the form of Business Units.
- No CDATA support: Existing CDATA connectors in version 20.10.xx must be converted to TimeXtender developed connectors.
A migration tool is available from TimeXtender that largely automates the migration from TimeXtender v20.10 / Classic to TimeXtender Data Integration.
