What will you do?
As a Data Engineer, you will help our customers get maximum value from their data. You do this by designing, building and optimizing modern data platforms. You will work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data and ensure that it is reliable, well-structured and directly usable for dashboards, analysis, reporting and AI or data science applications.
You will take part in diverse and challenging projects, in which you will integrate, clean up and transform data sources into one coherent and insightful whole. You will do this in collaboration with colleagues within our Data Engineering & Management domain, or in compact, multidisciplinary teams with experts from our other domains.
We work with Microsoft's leading data Cloud technologies. For data processing and integration, we use tools such as MS Fabric, Azure SQL/Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and DBT, among others. Reliability, scalability and portability are key, which is why we use DevOps working methods, GIT, CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code.
What are your duties and responsibilities?
Analyze needs and turn them into smart, scalable data solutions.
Establishing a data platform for data disclosure and data transformations.
Setting up SQL ETL processes for good performance and reliability.
Working with large and complex data sets.
Participate in the development of strategies with the latest technologies.
Develop and improve robust and scalable data pipelines.
Sharing your knowledge with colleagues within the organization and clients.
Advise on solutions and contribute to decision making.
Data Engineeer
What do you need?
Education level
HBO or WO working and thinking level. You have at least an HBO degree in your pocket, preferably in a technical field or technical business administration.
DBT (Data Build Tool).
Experience with DBT is a plus but not a must.
Experience
You have 2-8 years of experience and are familiar with both consulting and real-world data engineering challenges.
Python
ETL processes and tools
You are familiar with ETL processes and know which tools to use to process and transform data.
SQL and NoSQL databases
You have worked with both SQL and NoSQL databases and have a good command of the SQL language, allowing you to work with it efficiently and purposefully.
Azure Services
You have knowledge and experience with Azure Services, including:
Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Stream Analytics.
GIT
Fabric
You know how to set up a data platform with Fabric.
